Outdoor Learning/Forest Schools

At South Petherwin Primary School, we use our wonderful outdoor space for cross curricular learning and Forest School sessions led by Jenny. 

Our aim is to provide the opportunity to develop an inquisitive and positive relationship with the natural world. We believe Outdoor Learning increases confidence, self-esteem, independence and respect in preparation for an everchanging world. The children are encouraged to take appropriate risks within boundaries and initiate learning through hands-on experience to allow them to develop skills for lifelong learning.

We love building dens, making fires and looking for mini beasts.
