Our Vision

At South Petherwin, we see computing as an integral part of the curriculum. This is because we passionately believe in 'learning today to change tomorrow' and want to fully prepare our children for a world which will no doubt look very different to the world of today. We want our children to develop an understanding of how computer systems work, become competent users of computing technology and be resilient when things don't work. Our aim is to encourage healthy habits regarding the use of computing technology to ensure every child is safe online. We advocate children learning computational thinking skills and approaches which allow them to confiodent work with both software and physical computing devices.
